Bachelor in Nutrition from The Methodist University of Piracicaba, Brazil (1998)

Master in Science and Human Nutrition - University of Sao Paulo, Brazil (2002)

PhD in Sciences - University of Sao Paulo, Brazil (2006)

She earned two post-doctorates, one in Public Health and the second in Nutrition. She earned one while working as a visiting professor at Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, MA (2008) and her second was earned during a sabbatical at The Methodist Hospital Research Institute, Houston, TX (2013).

Main area of research: the role of lifestyle and dietary intake in obesity, diabetes and metabolic syndrome in adults.
