Our involvement in research and Dr. Sloan’s involvement with the pharmaceutical industry allow us and you to participate in clinical trials that may offer you new treatments before they are widely available. Clinical trials provide important information that is essential to develop better treatments for diseases. Participating in a clinical trial is a personal decision, and it is important to talk to your physician and family members about it. Participants in clinical trials receive exceptional care and study medications throughout the study at no cost. To learn more about participating in a clinical trial, check the website of the National Institutes of Health.
